Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2025. By using Payroon, you agree to these terms.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Payroon platform, including our website, mobile app, and all associated services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create and use a Payroon account. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

2. Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and PIN. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at support@payroon.com. Payroon will never ask for your PIN.

3. Permitted Use

Payroon is provided for lawful personal financial transactions, including: P2P money transfers, mobile money deposits and withdrawals, participation in Njangi groups, QR code payments, and referral rewards.

4. Prohibited Activities

Money laundering, terrorism financing, creating fake accounts, using automated bots, sharing credentials, bypassing security measures, and any activity that disrupts the platform or harms other users.

5. Fees

Payroon charges 1% on deposits and withdrawals. P2P transfers, Njangi groups, and KYC are free. Fees are displayed before you confirm any transaction. Fee structures may change with 30 days' notice.

6. Njangi Groups

Payroon hosts digital Njangi groups as a facilitation platform. Contributions are held in escrow, but Payroon does not guarantee recovery of funds in cases of fraud by group members beyond platform error.

7. Limitation of Liability

Payroon is not liable for losses caused by events outside our control, including mobile money network failures, force majeure, or unauthorised third‑party access resulting from user failure to protect credentials. Liability limited to the amount in your wallet at the time of the incident.

8. Account Termination

Payroon may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in suspicious activity, or fail KYC requirements. Users may close their accounts at any time by contacting support@payroon.com.

9. Changes to Terms

Payroon may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you via email and in‑app notification at least 15 days before changes take effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Douala, Cameroon.
